RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

Senbazuru

Ronald McDonald Houses are located within footsteps of major women’s and children’s hospitals across Australia. RMCH provides a homely and inviting place to stay for parents, guardians and their siblings while their child is undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.

This design aims to bring faith and hope to seriously ill children and their families as well as give them strength and hope when going through their difficult times.

CONCEPTUAL IMAGERY

Capture.JPG

This design took inspiration from an origami crane. Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes (which called “senbazuru” in Japanese), one’s wish could come true. It has become popular to fold 1000 cranes to make a wish or for hope for a sick person to get well.
