Fusion Of Colours

Retro 1970s bedroom design

In this interior, I designed two areas for different uses: the sleeping area and the relaxation area. The most amazing thing about this design is the blending of vibrant colours and bold patterns in the use of fabric and furniture throughout the whole interior that creates focal point as well as visual interest.

Patterns, colours, and nature are three dominant characteristics in the Retro 1970s style. For the bedding area, I used fabric such as cotton, leather, polyester, and trevira with bold patterns and vibrant colours to make the bed stand out in the crown. Neutral and earth-toned colours then selected for the rest elements of the room in order to balance the whole interior. 

Black and white, yellow, orange, green and blue were chosen for most of this project for these are the 1970’s most favourite colours palette. I also brought some natural elements like potted plants and little flower vases inside this room in order to breath new life as well as make this interior more inviting, cozy and comfortable.
